Amanda and Brandon chose to have an intimate elopement in Granby, Colorado with just their closest friends and family. Their elopement day was emotional and full of intentional details from start to finish. Being from Granby, this place was close to their hearts and we picked a stunning ceremony location that was a short trip from their intimate backyard reception. This day was truly one for the books!
On the afternoon of Amanda and Brandon’s elopement, the two got ready separately before coming together at their remote ceremony location where they were married in front of a breathtaking mountain view and their family and friends! After their ceremony we drove all over the area stopping for photos, wandering through the pines and eventually ending up at the lake. Amanda and Brandon went to the shore and exchanged their handwritten vows, reading them silently back to back. Private vows are one of my favorite moments to photograph because it is so personal and full of emotion. We then headed back down the mountain, winding down the dirt roads and drove to their family home in Granby.
Amanda and Brandon were welcomed by their loved ones at their backyard reception, where we ate tacos from the taco truck and had some of the best cupcakes ever! Later, when the sun started to pour beautiful golden light onto the aspen trees, we went out to the field next to their home and took dreamy sunset photos. This was a full circle moment because Brandon actually proposed to Amanda at this field! The rest of the night was spent getting cozy around the bonfire with good times to be had with everyone under the stars. Congrats on your elopement Amanda and Brandon! Thank you so much for your trust in me and allowing me to document this special day for you guys!
Sweet words from the couple –
Professionalism, talent, kindness, hype woman….. UNMATCHED! After struggling to find a fairly last minute wedding photographer who’s style aligned with our vision, we stumbled upon Rachel. The second I checked out her website I knew that she was THE ONE that we had to have to capture our wedding day. We set up a time to talk on the phone and we immediately clicked, It felt like talking to an old friend and I felt so comfortable and excited to work with her. We set up our engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park and she exceeded every expectation that we had. We had never had professional photos done and she made us feel so at ease and was so helpful with directing us on movements that would help her to get the best possible photos. Her eye for getting THE shot is incredible, we couldn’t believe that the photos she got were of us, they truly looked like they belonged in a magazine. Between our engagement session and our wedding day, Rachel made multiple 2.5 hour drives to scout different locations for us and was so communicative through every step leading up to our wedding day. Our photos turned out absolutely amazing and the amount of coverage she provided was unbelievable. We feel so lucky to have had the chance to work with Rachel, we couldn’t have found a better person to capture our wedding day.
